Newborn Sessions should be scheduled in the first 12 days of being born. During this time newborns tend to be sleepiest and retain that fresh newborn curl. As a newborn photographer, I strive to capture those first few days when baby is sleepy, squishy and curling up as if still in the womb and turn the resulting images into a work of fine art to be treasured forever. Newborn Sessions generally last between two and three hours but are not limited to a certain amount of time. I work around your baby's schedule to ensure that I get the best shots possible.
I started out doing newborn sessions in my own home early on. It was nice for me to have everything I needed at my finger tips and knowing where the best light was. However there is a give and take to everything in life and after the birth of my own daughter I realized the importance of the postpartum babymoon. That special time of bonding with your little one will come and go so quickly. The last thing I want to do is disrupt that time any more than I need to. Therefor I decided to start doing newborn sessions in the clients home. This way all you have to do is sit back and relax. I have also found that everyone is a little more relaxed at home and that babies can be soothed a little easier.
Whether you want your maternity session to be an intimate studio shoot, a more natural outdoor shoot or something
Milk Bath & Herbal Bath Sessions
Milk and Herbal bath sessions can be done either before or after baby arrives. They are a great way to slow down and connect with baby and some women find them to be very emotionally healing after a less than perfect birthing experience. Sessions will last roughly one hour but are not limited to a certain amount of time.
Fresh 48 Session
Fresh 48 sessions are a great option when you prefer a more private birth. Scheduled within the first 24-48 hours after your babies arrival, this is a lifestyle session to document some of the many firsts in babies life. Sessions will usually last 1-2 hours.
All Portrait type sessions require a non-refundable deposit of $50 at time of booking
Typically 7-10 days after your session we will meet to view your proofs and place your order.
